The Princess Tails

The Musings of Zena, a Tibetan Terrier sharing her life and wisdom with Raffles, a Standard Poodle

Scavenger Princess

I won, I won, I won!!!!

I know it was a while ago and The Help should be shot for being so busy and not able to get to my blog sooner, but they do say better late than never don’t they?

My prize for winning the Scavenger Hunt at Sammy‘s great camping trip arrived this week. It came so quickly. The Help was very impressed.

First there was a gorgeous card from Sammy to me. Thanks Sammy.

And it was wrapped in this cool paper.

Purple is for royalty you  know. Sammy gets it 🙂

Then I got some very yummy treats.

These are so yummy I ate two when The Help opened the pack – she is now rationing me because we can’t buy them here.

Then there was a gift for me to play with.

Me with all the goodies.

Me with all the goodies.

The yellow peril is a cool octopus toy with lots of arms to grab onto and shake.

First.... Pose for the photograph.

Finally I get to play with the yellow peril

I take a break for a moment and look what happens…..

Raffles decided he'd take a look at my new toy - a very dirty Raffles as you can see!

I am pleased to announce that the yellow peril easily withstood the jaws of the giant standard poodle and remains unscathed, with all its little limbs and it is still squeaking 😀

What a great toy.

Thanks again Sammy. For everything. The camping was fun, the competitions were fun and winning something on top of that was just the icing on top.

Have a good Sunday everyone. I’m going to rest.

What do you mean I'm not allowed on the furniture? I'm not on the furniture I'm in my bed!

Love from Zena, the audacious Princess 😀

I am The Princess (aka Zena), niece of Zac the All Black and awesome Tibetan Terrier who took me in when I was just a six week pup and tried to teach me all he knew. When I was six and he was eight, Zac crossed over the rainbow bridge and all of a sudden I was alone. I could no longer be the ditzy, happy-go-lucky pup that I had been. This is a diary of how one Princess managed when the world turned real.

  8. Super nice prizes Zena…And nice of you to share…Happy Sunday

  9. CONGRATULATIONS!! Sammy sure picks out the BEST prizes doesn’t he? ENJOY!! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

    • Thanks Dakota. I love prezzies and prizes and so far I’ve been very lucky. The gifts I’ve had from my blogosphere pals have been superb. I’m a lucky Princess 🙂

  10. Don’t you be giving any of those treats to poodles.

    • 😉 I don’t intend to. Which reminds me. Raffles is out being shampooed and primped at the moment so it’s a good time to remind The Help that she can give me a couple without having to share 🙂

  11. Congrats! Whee have been having trouble with Mummy’s reliability too! Hoomans eh?!

    Nibbles, Nutty, Buddy & Basil

    • I KNOW! What can we poor creatures do? We need routine, reliability, regularity. You’d think they could make the effort. All they do is come up with excuses. Someone’s sick blah blah blah. Have to go to this meeting or that meeting blah blah blah.
Priorities is what I say and I should be the number one priority 😀

  12. Congratulations Princess. The card is awesome and your presents..woohoo… so COOL 🙂

  13. How good of you to share your toy with Raffles – I do hope you didn’t over do it though and share the treats, otherwise he will expect you to share everything?!

  14. Lucky puppy! Well done!

  15. I’m glad your toy survived the attentions of Raffles! I think having dark legs would be an advantage. I keep trying to make mine a nice mud-brown colour, but the bipeds have other ideas!

    • 🙂 What I can’t get over with Raffles is how resistant his coat is to dirt. He comes back filthy from the leash free. The Help washes his legs and paws but they are by no means clean, but by the end of the day he seems so cream again. A quick brush and he’s as good as new. Sure over the weeks his skin begins to get a darker colour as he gets closer to needing a bath, but he really is wash and wear!
