Happy Christmas

From all of us here in OZ

From Prissy Paws, the unwitting victim of much of our humour throughout the year and probably the next:

From the pup Raffles who is still only five months and growing!

Our Christmas will look a little bit like this:

And I expect to spend most of the day assuming the position on the chair!!

And of course being in OZ where the temperatures are rising, rather than snowflakes and snowmen, this is more the style of Christmas which we will be celebrating:

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, in whatever style you enjoy and we’ll catch you on the ‘other side’ 😀

With love from a festive Princess Zena xxx

I am The Princess (aka Zena), niece of Zac the All Black and awesome Tibetan Terrier who took me in when I was just a six week pup and tried to teach me all he knew. When I was six and he was eight, Zac crossed over the rainbow bridge and all of a sudden I was alone. I could no longer be the ditzy, happy-go-lucky pup that I had been. This is a diary of how one Princess managed when the world turned real.

  1. The temperatures are rising here in NZ too. Good barbecue weather! Merry Christmas from Sandra and Zak.

    • 😦 We do sometimes have rainy Christmas’ too – but this year it’s going to be great, warm but not too hot, the beaches will be full and no prawn will be safe! Next year you should think of an Ozmas theme 😀

    • It is beautiful, The Producer struggles to find it Christmassy because she grew up having Christmas in snow and frost – but….. beach is good, if you don’t mind the sand which I’m not wild about 😀

  12. I hope you have a very Merry Chrismtas and a Happy New year!

  13. Hey PZ, Jet here. Hi Raffles.

We share in your temperatures PZ, which makes Christmas sandy, not white! May you enjoy the holiday in the manner to which you are accustomed! We wish you a festive day filled with family, prezzies, love and laughter.

We do not celebrate Christmas at Casa Jetty, and usually the word Merry precedes a Christmas wish… May we inquire about the history of Happy Christmas?

My Royal Princess, have a wonderful holiday, your humble Prince. 🙂

    • I hadn’t realised that in the USA ‘Merry Christmas’ is the usual greeting. In the UK and Europe both are fine but ‘Happy Christmas’ is more usual. It is said because of the implication with Merry of being under the influence of alcohol! Who knows how these things happen? There are some Christmas poems which end Happy Christmas so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was literature that began the trend. In the UK ‘Merry Christmas’ is a little dated. In Australia Happy Christmas is the most common term but I’ve had a few Merry Christmas’ thrown my way this year too 🙂
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not have a wonderful day Jetty and hope you are all better and without your cone of courage soon, you are courageous enough without it! 😀 xxx

  14. Merry Pigmass to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

    • Thanks Savannah – hope your day was furtastic!! Yes, I got a little floofing too but ruined it by rolling in the first grass pile I found hee hee hee!

  16. Wishing a very merry Christmas to you all!

  17. Happy belated christmas, let’s pretend in here is still the 25th.

  18. It’s funny to think of a warm, summer-y Christmas instead of in the winter when we have been used to winter, but it sounds fun!
I hope you had a great Christmas!
    Much purrs!

  19. Hope you all had a funtaztic Chriztmas xx00xxx

  20. Raffles looks so elegant in those photos! Enjoy the Palm tree Chritsmas guys! Snow might be pretty, but its a whole other story when your outside in it!

    • I wouldn’t go outside in it but The Producer likes to walk in the snow and the silence that it brings apparently. Me? Give me the sunshine and the air conditioning and turkey – I’m Aussie born and bred 🙂

  21. Happy New Year to you all 🙂 See you in 2013 xx00xx

    Mollie and Alfie
